Helen & Clarence Prince Scholarship

The Florida West Coast Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) awards a thousand dollar scholarship each year to a mechanical engineering student at the University of South Florida (USF).
 
To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in the USF Mechanical Engineering Department and be a student member of ASME.  The scholarship is be awarded on the basis of scholastic merit, college activities, and financial needs, with each category equally weighted.  Presentation of a letter of application is required.  An attractive resume format with the following information must be submitted.
  1. Name
  2. Permanent Residence
  3. College Address
  4. Telephone Number
  5. Estimated Graduation Date
  6. Grade Point Average
  7. Two (2) Letters of Reference
  8. Transcript (official copy)
  9. List University/Community Activities
  10. Source of College Expenses - percent from parents, self, scholarships, loans
  11. Other Scholarships and Awards

A paragraph about the applicant, and why the applicant believes he/she should receive the scholarship should also be submitted along with any other pertinent information.
